    Come and visit us on Open Evening - Tuesday 18th September. Y5 and Y6 pupils are welcome to join us with parents and carers from 5pm onwards. Members of the Leadership Team will accompany you on guided tours of the academy - giving you a taste of academy life and a look at some of our new buildings!

    We are hosting a Post 16 Market Place on Thursday 20th September from 4.30pm - 6.30pm for all year 11 and 10 students and parents.

    GCSE Record Results

    Once more, De Lacy Academy is celebrating as our students have achieved an amazing set of results - breaking all records for this school. Progress 8, the measure that shows how well students have achieved against their starting point, is outstanding this year and is the highest we have ever achieved. All cohorts of pupils did extremely well and we are proud of the hard work and effort shown by our students over the past year.

    The academy opens for new students, Year 7, on Tuesday 4th September at 12.30pm and for all other students on Wednesday 5th at 8.25am.

    On Thursday 5th July at 5pm, we are holding a Y10 Step Up Evening for students and parents. Year 11 information including careers will be available. Please see the letter attached which will be given out to students on Monday 2nd July.

  • Castleford Tigers 9's Competition

    18th June 2018
    On Wednesday the 13th June, Years 7 and 9 rugby teams took part in the Castleford Tigers 9s competition. It was a brilliant day featuring numerous schools taking part.
     
    Year 9 got to the final and put in a brilliant performance, unfortunately they lost, 3 try’s to 1.
     
    Year 7 won the whole competition without losing a single match for the full day. This has gained them a place in the National Rugby 9s competition in Warrington on Thursday  5th July.

  • Year 9 & 10 Go Higher University Trip

    10th May 2018

    25 of each year group had a University Experience day which they really enjoyed and found inspirational and informative. They worked with student ambassadors throughout the day, had a campus tour and designed their dream university which they presented to the whole group.

    One of the feedback comments of the day was "The campus tour was the best. This has made me feel more confident for when I move to University".
