Mr M Mapplebeck

Mr Mapplebeck trained through the Delta Teacher Training programme and has developed a strong passion for teaching and learning. As Deputy Head of Science, Mr Mapplebeck plays a key role in driving improvements in teaching and learning across the department, working collaboratively to raise standards and improve outcomes for all students.

He is also part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)  – link for Year 8, supporting students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development. Mr Mapplebeck has successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT), which has further enhanced his leadership skills and his ability to lead sustained improvements in classroom practice.

In addition to his leadership and teaching responsibilities, Mr Mapplebeck is committed to developing the next generation of educators. He has mentored trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering guidance, support, and encouragement to help them grow into confident and effective teachers.
