Attendance at De Lacy – Be an attendance HERO (Here Everyday, Ready On time)

At De Lacy Academy, we believe that regular attendance is fundamental to every student’s success. Being in school every day ensures that students can fully engage with learning, build strong relationships with teachers and peers, and develop the routines, confidence, and resilience needed for future education and employment. Good attendance supports academic progress, wellbeing, and safeguarding, and helps us work closely with families to remove any barriers to learning. By attending school consistently, students give themselves the best possible chance to achieve their potential and thrive as valued members of our academy community.

With fantastic attendance, comes fantastic rewards. Here at De Lacy Academy, we pride ourselves on rewarding students for meeting (and then surpassing) the standards and expectations we set as part of Delta Academies Trust. Below you will see a range of rewards incentives for students who attend the academy day in, day out. Our rewards are issued on a daily, weekly and half-termly basis and not only for 100% attendance. We understand that for some, attending school can be a struggle so there are also opportunities for rewards for students who make improvements to their attendance as well. We also offer a range of pastoral support to our students and parents so we can engage them in school and show them what a fantastic place De Lacy Academy is!
