Mr J Ellis

Mr Ellis trained as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher through Delta’s training programme in 2019, beginning his career as a Teacher of French at De Lacy Academy. He went on to become Head of MFL in 2021, leading the department to achieve consistently strong outcomes above the national average. In September 2024, he was appointed Associate Assistant Principal with responsibilities for Supporting Teaching and Learning and EAL, before progressing to Assistant Principal for Personal Development in January 2026. Mr Ellis is passionate about enriching students’ lives beyond the taught curriculum and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
