Mr T Wallis

Tom’s career started at a local comprehensive school in Calderdale where he completed his teacher training and specialised in secondary Physical Education. He joined Delta (then SPTA) in 2014 as an NQT at Manor Croft Academy and progressed to Subject Leader in PE through to Assistant Principal and then on to Associate Vice Principal. Tom has moved across De Lacy Academy to lead the academies pastoral team and is responsible for behaviour and attendance.

With a strong track record of promoting high expectations, fostering a positive school culture, and supporting both students and staff, Tom brings a wealth of experience and a clear vision for excellence. His approach centres on consistency, respect, and creating an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Tom will be working closely with staff, students, and families to ensure our behaviour policies are applied fairly and effectively, and that our school continues to be a place where high standards are not only expected but celebrated.
